I recently was invited to interview at amazon for a solutions architect position. After my online assessment I was invited to the loop interview. I started studying for my Loop by reviewing multiple topics. I started researching online and found some very interesting information.
I first went through multiple articles on what cloud engineers need to know, this article created by Amr Ali really helped develop a foundation of knowledge. I then reviewed my network engineering knowledge and formed an online worksheet with flashcards to remember my talking points. I also reviewed system design and found this github created by Donne Martin.
The interview itself was very intensive, I cannot go into detail due to by NDA. But I can say that I am surprised amazon would spend this type vetting each candidate. In the end, Amazon decided I needed more experience and I was told that a Cloud Support Engineer would be more fitting. I am going to apply again and see if I can get another chance!
